Hello everyone! I hope this email finds you in an adequate spot, because this week we do some warm-up stretches, take one last sip of water (or cup of coffee ๐), and a deep breath before we launch again into the second half of this summer.
To help us prepare, here are some interesting things I came across recently:

Since we are in a checkpoint, here's an important reminder from the fine folks at Github Projects Community on
TwitterX:
(For the non-technical crowd, you might have heard of a recent incident with a software called Crowdstrike that brought to a grinding halt banks, airports and even hospitals. This post in Tumblr is a very good write-up of the incident in non-technical terms that includes an explanation on why Fridays are the worst days to do updates on software)
Fun times: From the creator of the card game Exploding Kittens (now also an animated series on Netflix! ๐คฃ), comes Let's Hit Each Other with Fake Swords, โa card game where you settle disputes with squishy swordsโ ๐คฃ.
(Iโve had many hours of fun playing Exploding Kittens with friends, so I can only recommend it, and this seems every bit as funny, if not funnier.)Illustration: as a big Pokemon fan, I'm a sucker for illustrations like this one from zuccnini on Tumblr:
(And the original painting is available on their Etsy shop.)
And finally, some useful definitions via theuglysideoftumblr on Instagram:
(Thanks for joining me in this journey, by the way ๐.)
That's it for this week! Hope your Sunday is filled with rest and that the week ahead brings an assortment of good things.
Thanking you for reading this in an age of ChatGPT,
